Spain-Portugal is the final of the U-17 Euro championship in Mieres

Both teams are still unbeaten. Spain won its semifinal 6-1 with Germany and Portugal 5-1 with France.

The day of the semifinals gave its virdicts: Spain and Portugal are the finalists of the 35th U-17 European Championship. The home team versus the defending champion. Saturday night at 9 PM CET (live on Cerh TV as all the other games of the day), the last 40 minutes of the tournament will assign the title.
Spain easily got its pass to the final. Against the surprising Germany, the semifinal was already decided after the 1st half, with Spain ahead 4-0. In the second part of the game, the home team tried to save energy, letting Germany to limit the score.
The match between Portugal and France was more balanced, particularly in the early part of the 1st half when France was able to defend well and be effective in its attacks. After the 1st goal, Portugal gained the control of the game and increased its advantage untill 3-0 at half time. In the 2nd half, the goal of France atfer few minutes didn’t change the game because Portugal scored immediately then controled the match untill the end.
In the previous games of the day, Andorra and Italy won 3-2 against Switzerland and England in very balanced game and will play ofr the 5th place, while Austria defeated Israel in the first lef of the final for the 9th place.
